Meet the HC Theatreworks Team...

Houston Christian’s Theatre Director, Dr. Bobby Linhart, is a multi-year Tommy Tune Award winner and Broadway World nominated director and choreographer. Including back to back Tommy Tune Best Director Awards. He has been acting and directing in Houston for over 30 years.

In recognition of his commitment and excellence in teaching, he was awarded the honor of Houston Christian High School Teacher of the Year in 2020. He also received the Crystal Apple Award for Teacher of the Year and was nominated to the Houston West Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year.

His productions include working with TUTS, Country Playhouse, TUMC Theatreworks, and Houston Night Court. He is the founder of TUMC Theatreworks and TUMC drama Bible camps. He is a member of the Educational Theatre Association, Texas Educational Theatre Association and International Thespian Society.

He holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Southwestern University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Houston and a Doctoral degree from Bradley University.

His wife Stephanie and son Andrew are the joys of his life. He is very close to his family and his TUMC Church community. Dr. Linhart is as excited as ever to be at Houston Christian High School, “Being at this incredible school with these amazing students continues to be a true blessing.”
