Join HC Theatrework this February as they share this beautiful story of home, love, and family.
Set in the fading embers of the Russian Empire and the vibrant streets of 1920s Paris, Anastasia follows Anya, a brave young woman with amnesia who is searching for her past. In post-revolutionary Russia, two con men, Dmitry and Vlad, plot to pass her off as the Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov to claim a reward from the Dowager Empress. As they begin their journey together, Anya regains fragments of her memory, prompting all three to realize she might actually be the lost princess. However, they are pursued by Gleb, a conflicted Bolshevik officer determined to silence the Romanov legacy forever.
Act two is set in Paris, shifting the story into a journey of identity and choice. Through a series of emotional trials, will Anya prove her identity to her grandmother and find her true home? Or will finding the love of family and friends ground her in her place of courage to define her own destiny?
